New Batch of Quail (Burung Puyuh) Production in ATP Jeli Campus

ATP Jeli Campus, 11 JULY 2021 - A new batch of quail production (1000 quails) was initiated in ATP UMK Jeli Campus. This batch of quail production will be available in mid-August 2021. Besides quail meat for sale, quail eggs will be produced and for sale too. So stay tuned for the fresh quail meat and eggs in mid-August 2021! 

 

First Batch Production of Fresh Rock Melon in ATP Bachok Campus

ATP Bachok Campus, 15 JUNE 2021 - A new batch of rock melon production using fertigation system was initiated in ATP UMK Bachok Campus. This fertigation  system was adopted to increase the absorption and utilization of nutrient sources by plants more efficiently and can reduce the risk of nutrient leaching that commonly occurs if planted on the ground. The rock melon is available on sale now and kindly refer to the ATP Services > Product Prices for purchasing information. 

 

New Duck Eggs Production in ATP Jeli Campus

ATP Jeli Campus, 11 April 2021 - ATP has initiated a new project of Khaki Campbell ducks breeding programme at ATP UMK Jeli Campus. A total of 100 ducks had been introduced to the ATP farm for teaching and learning to students and lecturers, as well as income generation to university. Harvesting and Selling of Coconuts in ATP Bachok Campus 

ATP Jeli Campus, 21 MARCH 2021 – A livestock breeding training video recording session was held by a lecturer of the Faculty of Agro Based Industry (FIAT) with a invited ecturer from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Prof. Prof. Dr. Mashitah in relation to the  methods of diagnosis of goat pregnancy by using ‘ultrasound scanner’ approach, collecting goat's semen samples, and analyzing the sperm of the livestock. The training session provides a significant knowledge and training to the lecturers and staffs in UMK. 

 

Harvesting and Selling of Coconuts in ATP Bachok Campus 

ATP Bachok Campus, 27 JANUARI 2021 – The harvesting of old coconuts was carried out in ATP UMK Bachok Campus. This harvesting process was carried out in two (2) days to collect all the coconuts in UMK Bachok Campus. At the end of the day, ATP had collected a total of 202 large old coconuts and 108 small old coconuts. The total revenue generated from the selling of coconut was RM 256.00

 

 

Selling of Fresh Vegetables and Traditional Salad (Ulaman)

ATP Jeli Campus, 26 JANUARY 2021 – The ATP Jeli Campus had carried out the selling of vegetables and traditional salad (ulaman) around UMK Jeli Campus. The response was very astounding the total revenue generated was RM 86.00.

ATP Bachok Campus, 26 JANUARY 2021 - YBhg. Prof Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Ts. Dr. Arham Bin Abdullah visited the ATP Bachok Nursery to see the latest developments in the nursery.

 

 

Annual Livestocks Healthcare Maintenance and Check Up 

ATP Jeli Campus, 25 JANUARY 2021 – The ATP Jeli Campus Livestock Division had carried out blood samples collection from the cattle and goats for Zoonotic disease diagnosis. This activity was carried out in collaboration between ATP Jeli Campus and the Jeli District Veterinary Office.

 

 

Inspection and Maintenance of Water Piping System in ATP Jeli Campus Livestock Division

ATP Jeli Campus, 19 JANUARY 2021 – The ATP Jeli Campus and 3Pi had conducted an inspection on the water piping and supply to the ATP Livestock Division. The inspection was carried out due to the low water pressure causing the water supply unable reach the ATP Livestock Division. 

 

 

Selling of Fresh Quail Meat (Daging Burung Puyuh)

Visit to KADA Kelantan for Collaboration Discussion 

ATP, 10 JANUARY 2021 - The ATP and the Office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) had visited the KADA office to have a discussion on the potential collaboration between UMK - KADA. This discussion was attended by YBhg. Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation, Director of RMIC, Director of ICD, Dean of FPV and representatives from FIAT. The ATP wishes to have a rice field cultivation collaboration with KADA because the KADA has vast expertise related to rice cultivation in Ladang Merdeka which can further utilize the 60 acres of paddy field available in ATP Bachok Campus.

 

 

Flowers Decoration Services Provided by ATP Bachok Campus Nursery Division

ATP Bachok Campus, 02 JANUARY 2021 - The ATP Bachok Campus Nursery Division had carried out maintenance by replacing all existing live flowers in the Chancellery Building with new flowers. This is the first maintenance work carried out by ATP Bachok Campus since the service of providing flowers to the Chancellory Building for decoration purposes in June 2020.

 

 

Opening Ceremony of ATP UMK Durian Germplasm and  Secret Garden

ATP Jeli Campus, 30 SEPTEMBER 2020 - The inauguration of UMK's durian germplasm and secret garden was officiated by State Government Exco member Ustaz Tuan Mohd Saripudin Tuan Ismail as the Chairman of the Kelantan State Agricultural Technology Biotechnology and Environmental Technology Biotechnology Industry Agriculture Committee. Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) intends to make the durian germplasm construction project at Agro Techno Park (ATP) as the reference and research center for the largest durian collection in Kelantan. The project was implemented at UMK Jeli Campus involving the planting of more than 30 durian varieties in the durian germplasm construction plot in an area of five acres.
